Jayme Henriques Simões (he, him, ele) is a lifelong communicator with a passion for storytelling, culture, and the evocative landscapes of Portugal. As the founder and head of Louis Karno & Co., a strategic communications agency he launched in 1999, Jayme has spent over two decades shaping how audiences connect with place, purpose, and people. Under his leadership, the firm grew from two clients to more than 30, including major tourism and cultural campaigns that brought Portugal—and especially the Alentejo—to life for North American audiences.

Fluent in Portuguese and deeply rooted in Lusophone culture, Jayme’s connection to Portugal goes beyond professional interest—it's personal. His time in the country has inspired not just campaigns, but conversations, reflections, and countless moments of creative exchange. He has spoken on international stages about destination branding, wine culture, and the power of narrative in travel.

Originally from Chicago and a Boston University graduate, Jayme was named to the New Hampshire 200 list in 2024 by NH Business Review for his impact on the state’s economy and civic life. He’s earned national recognition, including the Magellan Award and honors from the New Hampshire Travel Council. A past president of the PRSA Yankee Chapter, he also serves on several nonprofit boards, blending leadership with a commitment to public service.
